Like a bud awaiting bloom, each of us has within ourselves the gifts and strengths we need to thrive. Whether you are new to counseling or picking up where you left off, finding a counselor with whom you feel comfortable is an important step in your therapeutic journey. I am glad you are here and look forward to exploring your counseling goals with you.
Counseling can be beneficial for a variety of concerns. Counselors are often skilled in treating a particular set of presenting issues. I am best suited for children, adolescents, and adults experiencing:
and individuals seeking personal growth/exploration.
As a counselor based in existentialist and person-centered frameworks, I approach your concerns with a collaborative spirit, seeking to accompany you as you harness your potential for self-healing and direction. I take a trauma-informed and strengths-based approach to counseling, meaning I prioritize identifying and utilizing your strengths to propel your growth. Depending on your presenting concerns, we might use a variety of specific interventions to guide our sessions including traditional talk therapy; personality, career, or value inventories; artistic modes of expression; play therapy; and/or written exercises. Your comfort level with various modes of counseling will determine how we choose to proceed.
